t is time to get ready for the family reunion. We are planning a great time for you here in the District of Columbia/ Baltimore, Maryland metro area.
Hotel Accommodations
We have secured a wonderful hotel for the reunion. We will be staying at the Marriott Spring Hill Suites, 7544 Teague Road, Hanover, Maryland. All the rooms are suites and sleep four to a room. The room includes a choice a king or 2 queen beds and a couch which sleeps 2 people at the low rate of $99 per night! You can call the hotel directly at (410) 799-7100 or 1800-627-7468 and mention the group name “McRae Family Reunion” or group code “MCF”.
The hotel is 4 miles from the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall (BWI) airport. The hotel has a free shuttle from the airport. If driving to the area the hotel offers complimentary on-site parking. Also the hotel is located near a huge outlet mall (Arundel Mills) that houses over 220 stores, various restaurants, a state of the art movie theater, and Dave and Busters. The hotel shuttle also makes several stops at the mall for free.

3pm to 5pm Check-In at the hotel (Please note if you need an earlier check in time please let the hotel know about this in advance.)
6pm to 8pm “Café McRae” which is a family Fish Fry and social period at the hotel.
9pm to 12am Late Night at Dave and Busters (bowling, arcade games, pool, and music)

6am to 9am Wake –up and enjoy a free continental breakfast at the hotel.

Option#1= Washington, DC Boat Cruise Luncheon
9:30am Depart PROMPTLY!!!! We are sailing on the Potomac River with the fabulous Spirit Cruises for their lunch cruise. While dining, there will be live entertainment including a tour of DC’s historic harbor. The cruise is $51.00 per adult and $26 for children 3-12yrs. Option #2= Washington, DC Guided tour
9:30am-Depart PROMPTLY!!!.
This tour includes: The National Mall and Memorial Park (National Mall, Washington Monument , Thomas Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, World War II Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, and Vietnam Veterans Memorial). Also visit the Air and Space Museum. The tour and the museum are free but there may be a cost for transportation/parking.
Note: There will be a nominal fee for bus transportation to and from the hotel for both events.
3:45pm Bus will leave PROMPTLY for the hotel. PLEASE BE ADVISED anyone late will have to return to the hotel on their own.
Option #3= Let’s go shopping.
Take the hotel shuttle bus to the Arundel Mills outlet mall that houses over 220 stores.
6pm THE FAMILY BANQUET & Meeting Bus will leave PROMPTLY for Baltimore to dine at one of the areas famous restaurant in Baltimore Inner Harbor area. Attire: Dressy but casual because we may be walking around the harbor area.
For all individuals who wish to travel using your own vehicles the restaurant’s fee for parking is $20.00 in a local garage. We are currently working on bus services to and from the family banquet. No need to worry.
8pm Enjoy the Inn Harbor area of downtown Baltimore at your own leisure.
The Baltimore Harbor includes the following sites: ESPN Zone, night boat cruising Baltimore’s harbor area, The Baltimore Aquarium, The Science Center, outdoor music and other adventures.
10pm 1st departure to the hotel
12am LAST departure for the hotel. ANYONE LATE WILL HAVE TO RETURN TO THE HOTEL ON THEIR OWN.
Sunday: July 4, 2010
10am-12pm Family Worship Church Service.
This year for the first time ever, we will be having our own church services at a prestigious mansion. This amazing worship service will include our family’s very own Aunt Bea & Monet Phillips delivering the Word of God. Also, dynamic praise &worship leaders from various family members include, Minister Johnnie B, Kathy McRae, Shannon McRae, Chi Mall-Matthias (prospected), The Oliver family & Angelique. Other names may be noted on our church programs as the reunion plans progress. Our praise &worship team will be ministering with live music.
Following the church service we will be having a Family Barbeque on the mansion’s grounds. The family barbeque will consist of great food, games, face painting and entertainment for the adults and children.
12pm is the check-out time for the hotel.
